During this AP Economics - Macro and Micro (Combined) @ Hawaii APSI, you’ll explore the course framework, the exam, the new AP resources which will help you plan and focus instruction as well as give feedback throughout the year on the areas where individual students need additional focus. You’ll also learn about completing the digital activation process at the start of the school year that will give you immediate access to the new resources. The new resources will help ensure that your students can register for AP Exams by the new fall deadlines.
By attending this APSI, you’ll gain deeper insight into the following key takeaways: Understand the Course; Plan the Course; Teach the Course; Assess Student Progress; and Engage as a Member of the AP Community.
In addition, specific attention will be paid to the following AP Classroom resources: unit guides, personal progress checks, AP teacher community, and the AP question bank.

NORA SEAGER
Nora Seager has been teaching for the past 28 years. She considers herself lucky to be allowed to teach five AP Economics courses every day at University High School located in Irvine, California.
Nora's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Professional Diploma in Education. Nora has been a consultant for the College Board for 10 years, an exam reader for 20 years, a table leader and in various leadership roles for 15 years supporting teachers. Additionally, Nora has served as the College Board Advisor on the Test Development Team from 2019 - 2022.
Currently, she is supporting the Test Development Team to develop AP Economics content questions. Nora states, in 2019 when the College Board introduced the Curriculum and Exam Description and then the AP Classroom platform, many of my lessons changed to provide an opportunity to better support my students through exploring new content from College Board. At our APSI, one of my goals is to share the multitude of online resources available to educators as we all continue our journey of lifelong learning. With the mix of new and experienced participants, please come and plan to share one of your best practices with the team.
